The Muscle Returns for Round Three

Fans of legendary pro-wrestling action can rejoice—Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc is officially returning for a third season. The news was confirmed on August 3 via the anime’s official website and social media channels, accompanied by a striking teaser visual featuring classic and new warriors ready for battle.

The third season will continue adapting the “Perfect Origin Arc,” the modern reboot of the Kinnikuman franchise created by the duo Yudetamago. With updated animation and dramatic storytelling, the arc has breathed new life into a series that helped shape the history of sports-themed shonen anime.

Story Synopsis

In the Perfect Origin Arc, the world of Chojin (superhuman wrestlers) is in turmoil after the emergence of the Perfect Chojin, an elite group claiming to be the proper protectors of justice. Declaring the existing hero Chojin as unworthy, they initiate the Chojin Purge, a brutal war to cleanse the ranks.

Kinnikuman (Suguru), the once-goofy prince turned seasoned warrior, must once again step into the ring alongside his comrades. Each battle tests not only their strength but their resolve to protect the ideals of heroism.

With emotional flashbacks, intense tag matches, and moral conflicts, this arc elevates the series from comedic parody to high-stakes epic.

Main Characters

Kinnikuman (Suguru)
The goofy yet courageous protagonist and Prince of Planet Kinniku. Over time, Suguru has matured into a dependable hero, known for his unpredictable wrestling techniques and unbreakable spirit.

Robin Mask
A noble and honorable Chojin from the UK, Robin is a key member of the Justice Chojin. His strategic mind and knight-like personality contrast with the raw brawling of others.
