Another dark isekai adventure is joining the fall lineup. My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero—based on the popular light novel series—will officially premiere on October 6, 2025. The announcement also revealed the anime’s ending theme song, adding excitement to its debut.

Story Synopsis

Adapted from the light novel by Matsuri Akai with illustrations by Tozai, the story follows Akira Oda, an ordinary high school student suddenly transported to a fantasy world alongside his classmates. While most of his peers are granted familiar RPG-style powers, Akira gains the role of Assassin—a class that far surpasses even the legendary Hero in strength.

Armed with deadly stealth skills and unmatched power, Akira must navigate political intrigue, dangerous monsters, and moral dilemmas. His growing relationship with Amelia, a mysterious elf warrior, becomes central to his quest. Unlike many isekai heroes, Akira’s journey balances ruthless efficiency with questions about justice, loyalty, and survival.
