The Kindergarten Wars side-story series Kindergarten Wars: Luke has officially concluded with its sixth and final chapter on July 31, 2025, according to Shueisha editor Shihei Lin on X. Meanwhile, the main manga series is scheduled to resume from August 14, 2025, after a brief hiatus.
The spin-off, announced in late 2024, focused on Luke Smith, expanding the universe by exploring his past as a detective in the UK dealing with cult conspiracies and moral conflict. Released biweekly beginning in November 2024, the six chapters formed a self-contained arc that offered emotional depth and closure for Luke’s character. The final installment was praised by fans:
“The sixth and final Luke side story chapter. And what a way to end it.”
Meanwhile, the main series entered its final arc in late March 2025 and paused briefly. It will return mid-August in biweekly serialization via Shōnen Jump+, continuing the adventures at Kindergarten Noir.
