Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is set to captivate anime enthusiasts with the introduction of immersive attractions based on the popular series SPY×FAMILY and The Apothecary Diaries. These limited-time experiences, part of the park’s 10th anniversary celebration of Universal Cool Japan, will run from July 1, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
SPY×FAMILY XR Ride – Operation Hyperdrive
Guests will join the Forger family on a high-stakes mission in this groundbreaking VR coaster. As rookie agents of WISE, riders will infiltrate Eden Academy to retrieve classified documents alongside Loid (Twilight), Yor, Anya, and Bond. The experience combines 360-degree virtual reality visuals with dynamic coaster movements, providing an adrenaline-pumping adventure.
SPY×FAMILY Story Ride – An Exciting Field Trip on a Mine Cart Adventure
This family-friendly ride invites guests to accompany Anya and her Eden Academy classmates on a thrilling mine cart journey. The narrative-driven attraction features sharp curves, sudden drops, and a plunge into a pitch-dark cave, delivering an unforgettable experience .
SPY×FAMILY USJ Park Rally
Participants can engage in a park-wide quiz rally by accessing the official USJ LINE app. By answering SPY×FAMILY-themed questions scattered throughout the park, guests can unlock exclusive voice messages from the Forger family and earn a limited-edition “Stella” sticker upon completion.
The Apothecary Diaries: Mystery Walk – Investigate the Mysterious Medicine
Fans of The Apothecary Diaries can immerse themselves in a mystery-solving adventure alongside Maomao. Armed with an investigation form, guests will explore the park to uncover the truth behind a suspicious panacea causing mysterious poisonings. This interactive experience seamlessly blends storytelling with exploration, engaging participants in a captivating narrative.
Special 1-Day Pass and Exclusive Merchandise
From July to August 2025, USJ will offer a “SPY×FAMILY Special 1-Day Pass,” granting visitors priority access to attractions, themed dining experiences, and exclusive merchandise. Pass holders will receive original smartphone wallpapers and one of three collectible can badges featuring characters from the series .
